Do you want to ensure that we provide care and spiritual support for the members of our church that are going through an illness, loss, or life transition?  Serve as a Congregational Care Minister (CCM) at CHUM!  You don’t have to be a Bible or prayer expert or have prior experience making visits.  You just need to have a compassionate heart and a willingness to give of your time.  We will learn together.

There are various capacities in which you can serve: making monthly visits, calls, and sending cards to our members at home and in nursing homes, sending cards to people who have requested prayers, visiting those in the hospital, giving rides to church, serving communion to members at home and in nursing homes, and contacting those who have stopped attending CHUM.

The CCM training is Friday, October 17 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm and Saturday, October 18 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Meals are included. CCMs will be commissioned in worship on Sunday, October 19 at both services.

You will need to become and maintain Safe Gatherings Certification.  Directions will be emailed to you after you register for the trianing!

Saturday, July 25 from 9:00 am-11:00 am

The deadline to register for the training is Friday, October 10.
